There are 5 images in this galleryMon, 10/11/2010 - 11:30am100 boots were distributed to the community and decorated and then returned to Monica Lamb-Yorski who organized this project. A Gumboot Art Show Reception was held during Arts & Culture Week, on April 20,2010. 120 people were at the reception held in the Lester Centre lobby. The boots are now up in various storefront windows around town.

The quilt was put on display at the Lester Centre for the 100 year birthday celebration on March 10, 2010. The library will be the quilt's permanent home.

The community was asked to submit writing within the theme of women living and working on the coast. Michelle Willard collected the work and distributed it to judges in the community. A booklet was published, and a reading night was held at Cowpuccinos on March 8, 2010 to celebrate International Women's Day. The winners of the writing contest were announced and participants read their work and met each other. It was a great night. The booklet is for sale for $5.00 at the Civic Centre and Rainforest Books.
