The Prince Rupert Community Arts Council awards grants to community arts and cultural programs, workshops, and activities, as well as to post-secondary arts students. The number of grants awarded each year depends upon the amount and availability of the fund. There are four intake periods each year - spring, summer, fall and winter. These grants are made possible by funding from the City of Prince Rupert.

Grant recipients will be notified and awarded funds 1 month after the deadline.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this grant, the applicant group must be a current member of the Prince Rupert Community Arts Council.
Requirements: To be considered in awarding a grant:
Applicants should clearly demonstrate how their organization or event promotes arts and cultural programs for Prince Rupert and / or surrounding communities.
Applicants should clearly outline their annual budget, including other sources of funding.
Applicants should show how their event will be accessible and inclusive to a wide range of community members

A completed Prince Rupert Community Arts Council Member Group grant application form
The Prince Rupert Community Arts Council awards two $1000.00 scholarships to graduating students pursuing an education in the area of fine arts: dance, creative writing, music, drama or visual arts. Scholarships must be used within 24 months of graduation. The scholarship is paid out upon receipt of SECOND semester enrolment in the chosen program.
Timeline: There is no deadline to submit an application. However, note that the scholarship is paid out upon receipt of second semester enrolment in the chosen program after the student provides proof of registration. Scholarships must be used within 24 months of graduation. Eligibility: To be eligible for this grant, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Prince Rupert, or demonstrate significant ties to the community. Students must be entering or continuing an accredited post-secondary arts-related program.
Requirements: To be considered in awarding a grant:
Applicants should have a demonstrated ability in their particular field of study.
Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to share their skills with the community as a participant and/or volunteer in community activities.
Applicants should have applied and been accepted to a Fine Arts or arts-related program at a recognized post-secondary institution.

A letter of intent, outlining aims and goals in the arts and listing any past experience with the arts - either individually or in the community.
A reference from an art teacher, instructor, or mentor.
